Permanent State, January 2015. Acrylic on canvas. Dimensions: 76 x 51 cm.
Bobbi In The Wall has been painting Bled Island from the same lake spot for 25 years, hence the name – he explains his fusion with the rock face while perfecting his Golden Ratio. We chewed over the state of the state in broken Anglo-Serbian. When the canvas tells me to go fuck myself, I think of Bobbi In The Wall – I face the canvas and reply “I have no intention of fucking myself today, for today I paint”.
I think i see a ghost in this one. Nice one!
Spooky. Maybe we’re the ghosts, and the ghost in the painting is reality looking back at us, thinking “I see a ghost”
Great. 🙂
I know. Thank you. I’ve just pitched this one to a prospective American client. Fingers crossed.
Saw it at Saatchi. My god, you’re giving it away at $1,800, or thrice that. Forgive me, but it is a great piece of work. Well, you know that, of course . . .
