A painted response to the previous BUDA photographs taken in June of this year… another one of my canvases that has been hanging around since 2008, worked on again a couple years ago, and finally the recent photos from Budapest gave me what I needed to finish it. The ground was a couple days work on top of I don’t know how many previous days effort over previous years all spent building up the texture, so there was some angst about achieving the appropriate viscosity of the white pouring paint. I had the intent to create something approximating an infinity loop, however, the triple infinity loop is pure chance. So in honour of my incredible trip to Budapest, BUDAPEST… likely to be featuring at The Other Art Fair London in October.
